Business jargon leads to crossed wires. It can even lead to lost clients! Even so, we seem to be addicted to jargon, regularly peppering our office conversation with inanities and buzzwords that nobody understands. And when that leads to confusion, that’s bad news!

Do you love it? Hate it? Use it all the time? Or are you like most people, unimpressed and bewildered by the idiots who think jargon makes them sound clever. Take our Jargon Test and you’ll find out who you are!

Feel the constant need to "push the envelope" and put the word "leverage" into every sentence? Don't worry, help is at hand; our handy guide will get you talking like a real person again.

The list is growing all the time, but here are a few of our favourites. Give it a read and you’ll give yourself a clear advantage; you’ll be the only person in the room who knows what “synergy” means. But that doesn’t mean you should go around saying it.
